Dow Triggers Fresh All-Time High

MARKET SUMMARY

U.S. markets traded in a tight range throughout much of Thursday's session before rallying in the final hour of action to push resistance. The Dow made a fresh all-time high while the S&P 500 came within two points of setting another record. The Nasdaq closed with a slight loss but held support and the 6,700 level. Meanwhile, the Russell 2000 came within a point of clearing 1,500 - a level that has held in three of the past four sessions. The Financials and Real Estate were sector leaders with both rising 0.9%. Materials and Consumer Discretionary were sector laggards after giving back 0.7%.
