The market extended their winning streak to 4-straight after notching fresh record highs on Thursday. China's announcement that it is cutting tariffs by 50% on $75 billion in U.S. goods helped sentiment along with better-than-expected earnings from a number of high profile companies.
The Nasdaq traded to another all-time high of 9,575 while closing at 9,572. Fresh resistance at the 9,575 level was cleared but held with continued closes above this level keeping upside towards 9,650 in play.
The Dow tested a late day record peak of 29,408 while closing at 28,379. Key resistance at 29,400 was cleared but held with potential towards 29,500 on a close above this level.
The S&P 500 kissed a lifetime and intraday high of 3,347 while closing at 3,345. Near-term resistance at 3,350 was cleared and held with upside towards 3,375 on a move above this level.
The Russell 2000 made a run to 1,689 before settling slightly lower at 1,677. Key and prior support at 1,685 was cleared and held with a close above this level signaling a run towards 1,700.
